The Bone Health Foundation, in conjunction with the ANZBMS, are pleased to announce we will be co funding grants again in 2026. Please use the form below to find out more or request an application form.
Health Innovation Grant, up to the value of $50,000 (up to 2 available)
Expression of interest open: Tuesday 7 April 2026
Expression of interest close: 8pm AEST Monday 18 May 2026
The purpose of this grant is to deliver funding to test the feasibility of innovative concepts to improve musculoskeletal health. The scope of projects includes clinical, public health and/or health services (including clinical service delivery) or biomedical research that may lead to larger, more rigorous studies and/or nationally competitive grant funding.

2026 ANZBMS-BHF Early Career Researcher Grant
1. ANZBMS-BHF Early Career Researcher Grant - $25,000 (Up to 2 available).
This year we have decided to broaden the scope of this grant to include all early career researchers (Up to 10 years post PhD, relative to opportunity).
This scheme aims to support early career investigators to generate preliminary data or test novel research ideas relevant to bone and mineral health.
Projects should strengthen the applicant’s competitiveness for future national or international funding.
This year we will be calling for Expressions of interest, with top ranked applicants invited to submit a full application

The bone and mineral research community in Australia have a proven track record of producing internationally competitive research outcomes which have a meaningful impact on individuals with poor bone health.
Please note all grant applications are independently assessed by the ANZBMS and BHF Research Advisory Committee, who provide recommendations to the Foundation’s Board and ANZBMS Council. All grants are jointly funded by ANZBMS and BHF and will be administered wholly by the Bone Health Foundation.
